The darkest skiing event of the year – Kiilopää Ski Event will be held on December 12, 2026!

Kiilopää Ski Event is suitable for everyone – from skiers looking for relaxation to experienced competitors. This year, the event will be renewed and instead of two trips, there will be three different series;

🎿25 km ski tour offers a peaceful yet rewarding experience for those who want to take it easy and enjoy the magical winter forest. There are shortcuts on the route, through which you can get back to Kiilopää via a shorter route. The shortest route is about 10 km.
🏔️ 40 km main race provides a timed challenge for competitive skiers and anyone looking to push their limits.
🌲 5 km route is perfect for those who prefer a shorter, more relaxed adventure and for children.

The event, which will be held in December, will take place during the twilight period, when headlamps and moonlight will guide skiers through the silence of the wilderness. Whether the sky is full of stars or the northern lights, skiing in Urho Kekkonen National Park is a unique experience!
