Kiilopää is the top spot to start your adventure. For the winter you can rent skis, snowshoes, bikes and winter camping equipment. For the summer, you’ll find all the necessary hiking gear, from tents and stoves to lightweight sleeping bags. At our rental shop, you can purchase maps, mosquito nets, camping pillows, and various cycling accessories.
Kiilopää Adventures recommends joining guided activities led by local guides, available for both private sessions and groups. Our guides also provide tips on routes and activities you can enjoy independently.
We rent high-quality Fischer cross-country skis for both classic and skate skiing. Our selection also includes Fischer skis with integrated skins for uphill grip, as well as OAC ski shoes for gliding on snow. Additionally, we provide other skiing essentials such as wax and skins for touring skis.
Rent snowshoes from our rental shop and explore the area’s gorges and enchanting forests. With snowshoes, you can create your own paths or follow established trails, making it easier to traverse than in deep snow. Our rental snowshoes are lightweight, available in various sizes, and we also have sizes suitable for children.
Would you like to try winter trekking but don’t own your own sled? No worries, you can rent a sled from the Kiilopää rental shop and head out into the winter wilderness. We have Fjellpulken and Savotta Paljakka sleds available. Ski tours can be done pulling a children’s sled, allowing the whole family to hit the trails or explore off-trail areas.
At Kiilopää, you can rent high-quality mountain and fat bikes in both traditional and electric-assist models. Our mountain bikes include the Orbea Occam H30 and Orbea Rise H30 full-suspension models. The fat bikes available are Rockmachine Vyöry 30 and Vyöry e-70. For younger riders, the Orbea Laufey kids’ bikes provide a fun riding experience.
You’ll find gear for both day trips and longer hikes. Our selection includes Fjällräven sleeping bags for both summer and winter use, camping stoves, and sleeping mats. Our camping stoves selection features Primus Primetech gas stoves, Omnifuel multi-fuel stoves, as well as trangias and wood-burning stoves.
We offer Fjällräven backpacks ranging from 45 liters to 85 liters, and with our child carrier backpacks, you can easily bring the little ones along. Our Fjällräven dome and tunnel tents accommodate two to three people, and we also have four-season winter tents designed for harsh conditions available for rent.
