The Kiilopää Fell Challenge is a hiking event held in Urho Kekkonen National Park. The Fell Challenge can be your first hike in Lapland, a chance to try longer daily distances, or a celebratory hiking week spent with like-minded people in the wilderness of the fells.

The event will next take place 9–15 June 2026. You can choose to participate in either a more demanding seven-day hike or an easier five-day hike.

Personally, the Fell Challenge has given me unforgettable experiences, knowledge, and skills. If you feel that you don’t dare or don’t want to hike alone, this event is just right for you.

Participation fees include guiding, as well as dinner and a traditional smoke sauna on the final day of the event.

Participants are responsible for their own self-sufficiency during the event. Everyone carries their own accommodation, food, and necessary equipment.
