Kiilopää’s Back-country Skiing Weeks are back, offering an excellent opportunity to discover back-country skiing with a professional guide. During guided day trips, you will explore the open fell landscapes and ancient forests of Urho Kekkonen National Park and the Saariselkä area.

During the Back-country Skiing Weeks, guided back-country skiing tours are organised daily with varying themes. All tours are carried out according to weather conditions, and changes may occur. The tour schedules are planned so that participants can easily reach the starting point from Saariselkä by Ski Bus and return after the tour.

You can join the Back-country Skiing Weeks tours if you have prior skiing experience. No previous experience in fell skiing is required.

The tour includes:

• Professional guiding
• Back-country skis, boots and poles
• Juice and cookies

• Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing
• Backpack
• Warm jacket for breaks

• Your own water bottle and snacks (one longer snack break during the tour)
• Sunglasses and sunscreen
